Togetherness gives birth to new ideas, new connections, and new ways of being. It empowers us to be better versions of ourselves.

Togetherness extends beyond walls and city blocks. It helps us feel supported and unified in the face of challenges, and allows us to connect to each other as families and humans.

Kindness is the key that unlocks that sense of togetherness. And this document is a reminder that all of us, together at Cocoon, agree to uphold our four C’s: compassion, community, connection and curiosity.

Here’s how we’ll treat each other with respect, kindness, and care.
1

No shame (or shaming)!

We think being a parent and caregiver is the coolest, most enriching life experience we’ve had thus far. We’re proud to embrace all things parenting with honesty and compassion. We aren’t into judging or shaming. That kind of energy doesn’t belong here.

2

Empathize, but stay positive

Sharing crazy parenting anecdotes about the occasional obstacles we go through is an important part of keeping us all connected. Parenting is a multi-faceted, always evolving experience. We’re all about poking a little fun at the memorable moments, while making sure to respect the journey.

3

Encourage and uplift

Let’s be masters of small pep talks and embrace compassion and mindfulness through our words and actions. The chain reaction of affirmations can go a long way. Parents/caregivers, unite!

4

Be confident and humble

We’re so lucky to have such a wealth of parental resources at hand. Many others don’t. Let’s remember to speak about our know-how in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable.
