After School Cooking with The Creative Kitchen: 3-8yrs (Tuesdays 4:00-4:45)

$50.00/semester

The Creative Kitchen leads little chefs in making recipes that feed the brain and the belly, while focusing on age-appropriate themes and educational concepts in a fun and flavorful fashion. Children prepare fun and flavorful dishes designed by The Creative Kitchen in an effort to gain exposure and increased acceptance of a variety of fruits, vegetables and other healthful foods. Get ready to make some of the most delicious and fun recipes such as, fruit and veggie sushi, see-through spring rolls, and chocolate pizza.

Class runs once a week for 12 weeks from September 14 - November 30

Details

The Creative Kitchen works to produce a positive relationship between children and food, while having fun in the kitchen and creating healthy eating habits for life. Kids learn and practice basic cooking skills as they enhance other traditional disciplines. In addition, children strengthen their motor skills, self-esteem, socialization, cultural understanding, teamwork, independence and personal responsibility.

What to expect

    Proof of vaccination for all participants and adults 12+ required.
    Children create a delicious, healthful recipe during each class
    Participants gain exposure to and acceptance of a variety of fruits and vegetables
    Lessons incorporate age-appropriate educational concepts in a fun and flavorful fashion
    For children under 5, adult companion required. For children over 5, adult companion suggested (using parental discretion, depending on child’s ability to attend independently)
    Group size of 7 to 14 children
    If an older sibling or a younger sibling over 18 months is joining an additional registration is required
